About the Author
Ananya Pathak
My name is Ananya Pathak, and I was born and raised in the serene city of Dehradun, Uttarakhand — a place where misty mornings and quiet hills shaped my love for stories. I write love stories that carry a heartbeat of mystery, because I believe that every person has lived a story that left a scar, a lesson, or a memory that refuses to fade.
Through my writing, I want readers to feel like they are the heroine or hero — that the heartbreak, betrayal, innocence, love, and longing they read about once happened to them too. My goal is simple:
to make every reader feel seen, understood, and emotionally connected to the characters.
I love weaving murder mysteries into romantic plots because real life, too, carries shadows behind beautiful things. My stories explore how people love, lose, trust, break, and rebuild — and how fate often has plans we don’t understand.
The Red Thread Of Fate
“Some threads never break — not even through death.”
The Red Thread of Fate is a haunting romantic mystery that explores love, obsession, betrayal, and destiny across multiple lifetimes. Inspired by the ancient belief that two souls destined for each other are connected by an invisible red cord, the novel unfolds between mystical present-day India and the eerie echoes of a forgotten royal past.
The story follows Vanya, Aditya, Rohit, and Devika — four souls bound by karma, repeating the same cycle of love and betrayal through centuries. As their present collides with memories they do not understand, the truth of their past lives begins to surface… revealing old wounds, unfinished justice, and a curse woven into their very existence.
A cinematic blend of romantic tragedy, psychological suspense, and reincarnation mysticism, this book reads like a fusion of Rekka (Tamil), Raabta, and Crimson Peak. Each chapter shifts between timelines, tightening the knot of fate until the explosive climax delivers karma’s final verdict.
This is a story where:
Love becomes both salvation and punishment
Obsession turns into destiny
Betrayal seeks forgiveness across lifetimes
Indian mythological symbols (Red Thread, Neem Tree, Agni, Karma, Punarjanma) guide the narrative
Psychology meets mythology in a contemporary gothic romance
The Red Thread of Fate asks one timeless question:
Can love rewrite destiny, or do some stories always end the same way?
